Privacy Policy

Your data, securely synced

Ayumi stores your information in a database hosted on Supabase (servers in the European Union, West EU region). This lets us sync your data across devices, link your profile with your training partners' and keep a safe backup if you lose your phone. All connections travel encrypted over HTTPS/TLS.

What information we store

We only store the data you enter voluntarily:

• Profile: name, handle, belt, stripes, academy, style, personal metrics (height, weight, age if you choose to add them).
• Training sessions: date, result, type (Gi/No-Gi), duration, intensity, submissions, techniques, notes and events.
• Technique vault: name, category, position, notes, linked videos and your study goals.
• Partners: name, belt, academy, private notes and your roll history with them.
• If you enable notifications, your push token so we can send you relevant alerts.
• If the app hits an unexpected error, a technical diagnostic report (error message, device model and operating system) so we can fix it. It is never used for anything other than fixing bugs.

What we don't do

• We don't collect usage data or behavioral analytics.
• We don't send push notifications without your explicit operating-system permission.
• We don't sell or share your information with third parties for commercial purposes.
• There is no advertising of any kind in the app.
• We don't access your contacts, photos, location or any other device information beyond what is strictly necessary for the features you enable.

Linking with partners

When you link your profile with a partner (via QR, link or handle search), you both reciprocally share the sessions you record together and the basic data of your profiles (name, belt, academy). Your private notes about a partner are NEVER shared with them. You can unlink any partner at any time from the app, and from that moment they lose access to your new data.

Push notifications

If you grant permission, we register a unique notification token provided by Apple (APNs) or Google (FCM). We use it solely to send you alerts related to your activity (rolls pending from a partner, new links, reminders of your goals). You can revoke the permission at any time from your system settings, and the token becomes unusable.

Data deletion

From within the app you can delete any individual session, technique, partner or note. You can also delete your entire account from Settings → Delete account: on confirmation, your profile and all associated data (sessions, techniques, partners and links) are permanently and immediately deleted, with no way to recover them, in line with the GDPR. Uninstalling the app does not delete server-side data — use "Delete account" for that.

Third-party services

To operate, Ayumi relies on these providers: Supabase (database and authentication, EU servers), Apple (Sign in with Apple, APNs notifications), Google (Google authentication, FCM notifications). Each has its own privacy policy and only accesses the information strictly necessary to provide the service.

Your rights (GDPR)

As a resident of the European Economic Area you have the right to access, rectify, object to processing, portability and erasure of your data. To exercise them, contact the developer at the email below.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will inform you within the app before the changes take effect. The date of the last update always appears at the top of this document.
